Appointment of non-executive Director
Corero Network Security plc (AIM: CNS), the network security and business software provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Lloydto the board of directors of the Company (the "Board") as an independent non-executive director.
Andrew Lloyd has been involved in the IT software and systems sector for more than 25 years. His career has included roles in early stage companies, high-growth pre-IPO ventures and large corporations such as Computer Associates and Oracle. At Oracle, Andrew held a number of leadership roles in services and license product sales on both sides of the Atlantic including the role of e-Business Program Director within its North American Sales division, with responsibility for strategy and business development for Oracle's e-Business applications across all sectors. Thereafter, at Computer Associates (CA), he held the position of VP Security Management with sales and marketing responsibility for CA's security management business (known as e-Trust) across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where his leadership contributed to a step change in CA's security revenues in EMEA.
Andrew is currently Senior Vice President of PRISMTECH Group's OpenSplice business which, through offices in Europe and North America, develops and markets performance-critical middleware software products for the military, aerospace, telecommunications, industrial and financial services markets. He is also a non-executive director of NetIDme Limited, a venture capital-backed provider of online age verification and identity authentication technology for a wide variety of industries including online gaming and gambling businesses.
