MONDAS PLC
HSBC Buys Corporate Actions System From Mondas PLC
Banking & Securities software specialist, Mondas PLC, today announces that HSBC
Bank plc has selected the Mondas corporate actions ('CA') processing solution,
Radica CAPS. The contract is worth a minimum of £750,000 for licences, project
and support services.
The selection process by HSBC has been extremely rigorous with intense
competition. This order is viewed as the initial phase of a plan for HSBC to
offer its operating divisions a single corporate action and dividend processing
platform. The participants will initially include 75 users in asset management,
trading operations, international investment management and private client
services.
Richard Cato, Senior Manager Change Management, HSBC, comments:
'After much deliberation, analysis and benchmarking it is clear to us Mondas'
Radica CAPS solution is the best fit for HSBC to deploy across multiple business
streams and will deliver synergies and savings accordingly. We recognise this is
still a maturing market in terms of vendor supply but consider Radica CAPS the
most functionally rich solution available.'
Tim Simon, Chairman & CEO of Mondas adds:
'The sales negotiation was conducted over an extended period, which makes it
even more satisfying to have eventually won this contract. For Mondas, this
represents a significant milestone and clearly positions Mondas as a credible
vendor in the global banking and securities market.'
Radica CAPS is a proven solution that takes the CA process from the front
office, through the middle to the back, all in a true STP environment, offering
benefits at each stage. Flexible, scalable, auditable, compliant, electronic and
paperless, the modular design covers a comprehensive range of CA processing
requirements (including dividends and manufactured overseas dividends) from
electronic capture of event notifications, entitlement computation, through
election decision capture to outcome update.
