                          MONDAS PLC ('the Company')

The Company was advised on 21st February, 2001 that the DTA Simon Children's
Settlement, of which Mr Tim Simon, Executive Chairman of the Company, is a
trustee, had acquired 20,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 23p per share on
21st February, 2001.


Following this transaction Mr Simon's holding (all of which is beneficial
other than a non-beneficial interest in 122,750 Ordinary Shares) is now
4,662,719 Ordinary Shares, representing 23.3 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company.
