Exercise of Call Option for Shares in ClerkMaxwell Limited

("ClerkMaxwell")

Further to the announcement regarding the acquisition of ClerkMaxwell on 7 April 2011, Costain has exercised the call option with Meteor Investments to acquire the remaining 25% of the share capital that it did not already own in ClerkMaxwell and now controls 100% of its shares.
