                Annual Information Update (AIU) for Coventry Building Society

Introduction

Coventry Building Society (the Society) published its Annual Report on 1 March
2006 and accordingly is submitting its AIU (for the period 27 March 2005 - 26
March 2006) to the UK Listing Authority as required under Part II of the
Prospectus (Directive 2003/71/EC) Regulations 2005 (S.I No 324 of 2005) and in
accordance with paragraph 5.2 of the Prospectus Rules. The Society is publishing
the AIU via an RIS today. Copies of the AIU may be obtained by written
application to the Society's Secretary at the address below.
