Sale of Shares by Warrant Trustee

The Company announces that the trustee appointed to act for those warrant holders who did not exercise their warrants to subscribe for ordinary shares on 31 October 2009 today sold 249,993 shares at a price of 182.5 pence.

Where any proceeds from the sale of warrants or shares by the Trustee are due for payment, warrant holders will receive cheques for the amount due to them on or before 27 November 2009 or, if the holding of warrants is uncertificated, payments will be made through the CREST System on or before 27 November 2009. Entitlements of £3.00 or less will be retained for the benefit of the Company.

The total number of shares with voting rights in City Natural Resources High Yield Trust plc is 66,857,143

The above figure (66,857,143) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, City Natural Resources High Yield Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
