Further to the Company's preliminary results announcement on 31 January 2002,
Peter Nicholson formally retired from the Board of Directors on the 31 March
2002.  Peter has been a Director of Crest Nicholson since it was founded 30
years ago, first as an executive and then as a non-executive Director.  The
Company thanks him for his contribution to the Group and wishes him well for
the future.
