RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES 

CRH plc announces that on 13th November 2008 it transferred to the Trustees of an employee share participation scheme 26,222 Ordinary Shares at €17.19 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 16,493,976 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 531,626,460.
