SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME


CRH plc announces that on 14th April 2008, Davy purchased, on behalf of the
Company, 46,000 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between 
€23.25 and €23.49 per Ordinary Share. The purchased shares will be held as 
Treasury Shares.

CRH plc also announces that on 14th April 2008 it transferred to a participant
of an employee share scheme 7,500 Ordinary Shares at €19.68 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,341,439 Ordinary Shares in
Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is
537,885,755.
