RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES 

CRH plc announces that on 25th November 2009 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 20,488 Ordinary Shares at prices of €16.2381 and €16.4830 and at prices of £8.7104 and £14.1386 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 13,104,389 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 697,381,531.
