RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 26th November 2009 it transferred to the Trustees of its employee share participation schemes 241,784 Ordinary Shares at €17.33 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 12,862,605 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 697,623,315.
