RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 28^th April 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 240,275 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.8573 and €18.8545 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,440,786 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 700,045,134.
