RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 22^nd September 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 394 Ordinary Shares at prices of £11.163 and £11.36 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,755,809 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 708,038,702.
