RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 5^th May 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 78,739 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.8573 and €17.7454 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,362,047 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 700,123,873.
