RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES 

CRH plc announces that on 13th January 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share scheme 457 Ordinary Shares at prices between Stg£11.36 and Stg£14.4903 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 12,338,743 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 698,147,177.
