RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 19^th May 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 7,167 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.18 and €16.4830 per Ordinary Share and at a price of £16.7806 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,061,271 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 707,733,240.
