RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 26^th May 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 13,910 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.18 and €17.7454 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,047,361 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 707,747,150.
