RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 3^rd March 2011 it transferred to the Trustees of an employee share participation scheme 39,144 Ordinary Shares at €15.85 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,162,388 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,346,525.
