RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 10^th February 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 6,309 Ordinary Shares at prices of €15.5646 and Stg£14.4903 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 12,332,028 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 698,153,892.
