RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 17^th February 2010 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 357 Ordinary Shares at a price of €11.18 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 12,331,671 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 698,154,249.
