RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 27^th July 2011 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 5,867 Ordinary Shares at a price of €11.9565 per Ordinary Share and at prices of £14.1386 and £14.4903 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,012,834 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 716,446,218.
