RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 8^th December 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 741 Ordinary Shares at a price of £16.7806 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,411,114 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,097,799.
