RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 10^th August 2011 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 140 Ordinary Shares at prices of £11.36 and £14.1386 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,012,694 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 716,446,358.
