RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 22^nd December 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 47,688 Ordinary Shares at share prices between €11.8573 and €15.0674 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,362,844 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,146,069.
