RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 23^rd December 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 2,042 Ordinary Shares at share prices of €11.18 and €18.3946 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,360,802 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,148,111.
