RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 30^th December 2010 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 3,327 Ordinary Shares at a share price of €15.0854 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,357,475 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,151,438.
