RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 9^th April 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 40,391 Ordinary Shares at prices between €15.0854 and €16.2381 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,742,961 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 699,742,959.
