RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 21^st March 2012, it transferred to participants in employee share schemes 68,987 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.18 and €14.79 per Ordinary Share and at a price of £10.8564 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 8,452,860 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 719,445,046.
