RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 25^th August 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 623 Ordinary Shares at prices of £11.1630 and £16.7806 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,757,797 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 708,036,714.
