RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 28^th March 2012, it transferred to participants in employee share schemes 1,940 Ordinary Shares at a price of €11.8573 per Ordinary Share and at a price of £10.8564 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 8,450,920 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 719,446,986.
