RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 4^th April 2012, it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 2,438 Ordinary Shares at a price of £10.8564 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 8,448,482 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 719,449,424.
