RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 11^th January 2012 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 270 Ordinary Shares at a price of €11.18 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 8,910,053 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 718,987,853.
