RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 15^th August 2012, it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 12,199 Ordinary Shares at prices of €11.8573 and €11.9565 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 8,324,678 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 722,226,596.
