RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 16^th June 2011 it transferred to participants in employee share schemes 5,247 Ordinary Shares at a price of €11.18 per Ordinary Share and at prices between £11.36 and £16.7806 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,024,715 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 716,434,337.
