RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 22^nd February 2012, it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 5,545 Ordinary Shares at a price of €15.0674 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 8,889,535 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 719,008,371.
