RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 5^th December 2012, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 20,497 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.18 and €11.9565 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 7,654,107 Ordinary Shares in

Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 726,167,336.
