AGM Statement

Croda International PLC 26 April 2006 26 April 2006 Croda International Plc AGM trading statement Commenting at today's AGM, Martin Flower, Chairman of Croda International Plc, said: 'In my statement published with the preliminary results announcement in February, I said that the early signs were that the firm demand witnessed in 2005 had continued into this year. I am pleased to report that our unaudited management accounts for the first quarter of 2006 show revenues from continuing operations up by over ten per cent in Sterling (seven per cent in constant currency terms) compared to the same period last year. Profit before tax for continuing operations for the first quarter was ahead by a similar amount. The results have benefited from continuing firm global demand for our products, and have been achieved despite the significant increase in energy costs we are currently experiencing. Group net debt increased to £32m at 31 March as we purchased further shares for Treasury, with £21m spent in the quarter.' The Company will be announcing its interim results on 26 July 2006.
