Appointment of Group Finance Director

Croda International Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Christie
as Group Finance Director with effect from 3 April 2006.  He replaces Barbara
Richmond who leaves the Company at the end of March to take up a similar
position with Inchcape plc.


Sean, who is 48, held a number of senior finance positions with Northern Foods
plc and was Group Finance Director from 1996 to 2004.  He is a non-executive
director of Kingston Communications (Hull) PLC and Cherry Valley Farms Ltd.


There are no further details required to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13R of the
Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
