Croda announces that the Trustee of the Employee Benefit Trust ('the Trust')
acquired on 8 August 2005, 200,000 ordinary shares in the company for the
purposes of the Trust at a price of 408p per share. It is intended that these
shares will be used to satisfy conditional awards made under the Company's Long
Term Incentive Plan in respect of directors and senior employees. The directors
and persons discharging managerial responsibilities have interests in the
following shares:-
