Purchase of shares by James Cropper PLC Pension Scheme ('the Scheme')
The Company was notified on 6 March 2009 that on that day the Scheme had purchased 100,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 59 pence per Ordinary Share. Following this purchase the Scheme now holds 431,000 Ordinary Shares representing 5.0% per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
Executive Directors of the Company, Mr John Malcolm Denman and Mr Nigel Anthony Read are Trustees of the Scheme and are therefore deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in the Scheme. Following this transaction their interest in the total issued share capital of the Company is as follows:
