Clarity Commerce Solutions PLC 05 August 2005 Clarity Commerce Solutions plc Clarity wins Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery contract Clarity Commerce Solutions plc ('Clarity'), a leading supplier of software management solutions for the entertainment, ticketing, hospitality and leisure sectors, has won a contract with Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery, a wholesale and retail bakery business based in the northwest of England. Clarity will supply software solutions to Greenhalgh's estate of 42 outlets, with installations complete by November 2005. The software and services will be based on Clarity's flagship product, Clarity Central, and retail point of sale solutions will also be provided, improving management control and reporting, as well as retail outlet performance across the estate. The Clarity solution will support Greenhalgh's moves to automate order processing, increase efficiency and improve speed of service across its retail estate. Clarity has held extensive discussions with Greenhalgh's IT team, further developing its existing hospitality & retail software solutions to provide a perfect fit for a retail bakery operator. The enhanced front of house applications are still managed by Clarity Central, giving Greenhalgh's excellent visibility of shop performance and a fully integrated stock ordering system. In particular, the implementation of a handheld ordering system which is also to be used by shop managers for checking goods-in, will swiftly identify stock losses and eliminate any supply chain weaknesses. The contract represents Clarity's entry into the retail bakery market, which consists of a number of traditionally run, regionally-based bakery chains. Patrick Kenny, IT Director of Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery commented, 'With the Clarity solution we've chosen, current sales information will be available almost instantaneously and any changes from head office can be immediately implemented across our operations. Greenhalgh's and Clarity have worked well together, and I am looking forward to the implementation of the system in our retail outlets.' Graham York, CEO of Clarity said, 'We are delighted to have won this contract with Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery. The retail and wholesale bakery market represents an exciting prospect for Clarity, and this opportunity supports our continued expansion into the multi format hospitality sector.' 5 August 2005 Enquiries: Clarity Commerce Solutions Graham York, Chief Executive Officer 01932 778000 College Hill Adrian Duffield/Clare Warren 020 7457 2020 NOTES TO EDITORS About Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery Started pre-war as a small bakery shop by James Greenhalgh, the business was purchased in the 1950's by Allan Smart, marking the beginning of the company's transformation and growth into a significant wholesale and retail concern.
