CLARITY COMMERCE APPOINTS JOHN O'CONNELL CHAIRMAN
Clarity Commerce Solutions plc, a leading supplier of software management
solutions for the entertainment, ticketing, hospitality and leisure sectors, has
appointed John O'Connell as Chairman with effect from April 7 2005, on the
retirement of Bob Morton. Bob Morton has been Chairman of Clarity since the
Group's flotation in 2000. Clarity has also issued today a trading update for
the year ended 31 March 2005.
John O'Connell, 59, was founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Staffware plc, the leading independent global workflow and business process
management (BPM) software company. Staffware listed on AIM in 1996 and went on
to the main LSE market in 2000. Staffware grew its revenues by an average rate
of 38% per annum compound for the ten years up to December 2003, delivering
consistently increasing profits for most of that period, before it was acquired
by Tibco Software Inc for approximately £122 million in June 2004. Staffware
operated in 22 countries , with 65% of its revenues outside of the UK.
John is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA)
and is recognised as one of Europe's top IT entrepreneurs. He is a Master of
Information Technology of the Washington DC based AIIM International, where he
served on the board as a non-executive director for six years, culminating as
Chairman in 1999/2000 - the only non-American to hold such a prestigious
position. The role of Chairman of Clarity will be John's first Chairmanship
position since he resigned as Chairman of Staffware plc in November 2004.

John O'Connell under paragraph (f) of schedule 2 to the AIM rules. Current
Directorships: London Wasps Holdings Ltd and Columba Systems Ltd. Previous
relevant Directorship - Resigned from Staffware plc in November 2004.
