Clarity Commerce Solutions PLC 20 October 2005 Clarity Commerce Solutions plc Clarity signs multi-sector Sodexho order Clarity Commerce Solutions plc ('Clarity'), a leading supplier of software management solutions for the entertainment, ticketing, hospitality and leisure sectors, has signed an agreement expected to be worth £2.3 million over three years with Sodexho, one of the world's largest providers of catering and business support services. Clarity will provide central management and retail point of sale software solutions to over 100 major UK sites, installing over 700 terminals and helping Sodexho to drive operational and corporate performance. The contract is strategically significant for the Group, as it marks Clarity's entry into several new market sectors. It enables Clarity to make further inroads into these sectors, by using newly installed sites as references for other prospects. The contract will also allow Clarity to prove its product suite in new environments as an integrated, multi-format solution, and may afford opportunities to penetrate Sodexho's wider operations. Clarity will be implementing software solutions to over 100 major UK locations serviced by Sodexho, initially focused around four of its key market streams: business and industry, defence, healthcare, and leisure. Examples include: • Business and industry: BAE Systems, GlaxoSmithKline, Honda, Ford, MBNA Europe Bank • Defence: Hyde Park Barracks, Catterick Garrison • Healthcare: Hereford Hospital; Northwick Park Hospital • Leisure: Blenheim Palace, Chelsea Flower Show, Royal Ascot. Clarity will provide Sodexho with software and services based around its flagship product, Clarity Central, as well as site-based EPOS and back office software. Under the contract the latest hardware will be provided by Clarity, working in partnership with Wincor Nixdorf. Specifically designed for the needs of the hospitality sector, over 700 'Beetle-iPOS' terminals will be installed at customer service points in a variety of trading outlets.
