CROSSWORD WINS CONTRACT WITH MOD'S DEFENCE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY LABORATORY TO CREATE BLOCKCHAIN ENABLED
SMART DOCUMENTS

Crossword  Cybersecurity  Plc ("Crossword") the ISDX listed technology commercialisation  company  focusing
exclusively  on  the  cyber security sector, has partnered with the University  of  Warwick  in  winning  a
contract  through the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory's (Dstl) Centre for Defence  Enterprise  to
explore novel uses of blockchain enabled documents in military environments. The project will look  at  how
to  provide  access to sensitive information in a range of environments, such as HQ office or disconnected,
harsh  operational theatres. Professor Carsten Maple, Director of the Cyber Security Centre (CSC)  at  WMG,
University of Warwick and colleagues at Warwick have conducted research in novel applications of blockchain
technologies.  Crossword  has also subcontracted Simplexity Analysis to assist  in  the  conceptual  design
stages.
