In the prospectus issued by the Company dated 25 February 2008, the Directors stated their intention to apply to the Court of Session for the approval of the cancellation of the share premium account of F&C Managed Portfolio Trust plc (the 'Company').  

On 25 June 2008 the Company announced that the Court of Session had approved the cancellation of the Company's share premium account and the creation of a special reserve of £37,915,842.  Various procedural matters have now been concluded, including the filing of initial accounts with the Registrar of Companies.

This reserve is now available to be used by the Company, in accordance with its stated policy, to fund share buy backs.
