Reconstruction of The Cayenne Trust plc

The Board of F&C Managed Portfolio Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to have been selected as the rollover option for the reconstruction and winding up of The Cayenne Trust plc (the "Proposals") announced today.  The Company will be publishing a prospectus in connection with the Proposals which will also be a replacement for the Company's existing prospectus in due course.  New shares issued pursuant to the Proposals or to meet demand from investors will only be issued at a premium to net asset value.
