The Board of F&C Private Equity Trust plc announces that on 16 July 2015 the Company purchased 300,000 Ordinary shares at a price of 214.0p per Ordinary share for cancellation.

Following this transaction the Company's issued share capital consists of 71,982,273 Ordinary shares.  Therefore the total number of shares with voting rights in F&C Private Equity Trust plc is 71,982,273 Ordinary shares.

The above figure (71,982,273) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, F&C Private Equity Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
