Directorate Change

As explained in the Company's annual report and accounts to 31 March 2017, Mr Kenneth Shand retired as a Director of the Company at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on 29 June 2017, having served as a Director since the Company's launch in 2007 and was a Director of the predecessor company, the original Investors Capital Trust plc.

Following the retirement of Kenneth Shand, James Williams has become Senior Independent Director and chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

Following a formal recruitment process, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Watkins as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 29 June 2017.

Andrew Watkins has worked in the financial services industry for over 40 years and was Head of Client Relations for Investment Trusts at Invesco Perpetual from 2004 until his recent retirement on 8 June 2017. 

His appointment will be proposed to shareholders for election at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in July 2018.

On his appointment Mr Andrew Watkins beneficially held 10,000 ordinary shares in the Company. There is no other information required to be disclosed pursuant to section 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
