Dividend and Capital Distribution

The Board of Investors Capital Trust plc announces a third quarter dividend of 1.325 pence per share on the A shares of the Company.  This dividend will be paid on 6 February 2009 to A shareholders on the register on 9 January 2009.  A third quarter capital distribution of 1.325 pence per share will be paid on the B shares of the Company on 6 February 2009 to B shareholders on the register on 9 January 2009. Capital distributions on B shares are paid at the same time and in an amount equal to each dividend paid on an A share.  

The dividend yield on an A share was 8.2 per cent. based on the A share price of 65 pence as 
at 10   December 2008. This compares favourably with the yield on the FTSE All-Share Index of 4.6 per cent at the 
same date.

For those shareholders that hold units (each comprising 3 A shares and one B share) the distribution yield
on this unit holding was 8.5 per cent based on a unit price of 252.5 pence as at 10 December 2008.
