The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC ('CPW')
Acquisition
CPW announces that it has today acquired all of AOL Europe SA's ('AOL') minority
shareholding in CPW's subsidiary Mviva Limited ('Mviva'), being all the issued
A and D ordinary shares of Mviva, for a total consideration of £2,772,000
satisfied by the issue to AOL of 3,300,000 CPW ordinary shares of 0.1p each.
During the last financial year, CPW has reorganised its data services operation
to align it more closely with its distribution business. The acquisition of the
minority interest in Mviva completes this restructuring. CPW will continue to
enjoy a strong ongoing commercial relationship with AOL.
